Police: Man walked into home, took keys, smacked young girl before arrest

BUTLER, Pa. — A stranger walked into a Butler home, took a set of keys and smacked a young girl before he was arrested last week, according to police.

Nicholas Campbell, 37, was taken to the Butler County Prison and was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and making terroristic threats among others.

When police arrived, she was outside and looked shaken up.

Police said Campbell was walking down Fourth Avenue and randomly walked into a home a little before 5 p.m. on Feb. 28. A 16-year-old girl was inside and police said he grabbed her inappropriately and threatened her.

Officers said Campbell did not know the people who lived inside the house and when they arrived he was still in the house upstairs. Police said he also stole a set of keys the house.
