Police began investigating after a resident of the Alexander Avenue building began hallucinating.

Police said that resident contacted the landlord after he said he had been experiencing the hallucinations for the past three months.

Dan Corsaro told Channel 11 News that he was hospitalized because he was breathing in vapors that entered his bedroom from the apartment below.

"I thought, 'What's wrong with me? I'm almost 50 years old. I've never hallucinated in my life.' It was really a personal battle, because I actually got admitted to the hospital and the hospital said it was an organic psychosis, a psychotic reaction," Corsaro said.

When investigators searched the apartment below, they said they discovered a lab in the kitchen. Police said Allen Vidonish lives in the apartment where investigators found chemicals used to make methamphetamine and Ecstasy.

Investigators released images of the suspected meth lab on Tuesday showing beakers, a scale and chemicals. Police said they also found Police chemicals and flasks stashed in kitchen cabinets and cupboards. Investigators said they found more than 20 chemicals in the apartment, including sulfuric acid.

"The hunch was right, so I feel vindicated that way. But the fact is I was hallucinating pretty bad for the last few months, and I didn't know the reason why," said Corsaro.

So far, Vidonish has not been charged. Police continue to investigate.
