ROCHESTER, Pa.,None — A Rochester man dangled his wife over a second-story railing and threatened to drop her during a fight last week, borough police said.
Donald Kunzmann, 52, is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats.
According to the criminal complaint, police responded to reports of a fight between a husband and wife around midnight on June 2.
Officers said they saw a bloodied Kunzmann wearing a torn shirt and complaining about "pain from being attacked."
Jennifer Kunzmann was also bloody and had unspecified visible injuries, police said.
Witnesses told police that the Kunzmanns were physically fighting before Donald Kunzmann grabbed his wife and hung her over a railing.
In the criminal complaint, police said witnesses told them Donald Kunzmann also threatened to choke and kill his wife.
"I thought he was going to kill her. He was yelling at her. I thought they were going to kill each other," one witness told Channel 11 News. "The lady and the gentleman come plowing through the door up there, fighting with each other and yelling at other. They started boxing. He threw her down the stairs and put her over the railing. He had her by her calves, by her ankle area. That's when I called 911."
Kunzmann was released from the Beaver County Jail June 2 after posting $2,500 bond. Kunzmann faces several charges including, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault. He's expected to appear in court on Thursday.
