NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Police said James Sims was arrested early Tuesday morning after he and another man attempted rob Greeks House of Gold in New Castle.

Investigators said Sims’ accomplice, Christopher Jackson, ran from police and jumped into the Shenango River.

Crews spent hours searching for Jackson, but so far he has not been located.

The owner of the store told Channel 11’s Brandon Hudson that he lives behind his business and heard the alarm going off.

Police Chief Robert Salem said the thieves took two Rolex watches worth thousands of dollars.

Sims is facing burglary charges.
