HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — State police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who stole several thousand dollars worth of iPads last month from three local Target stores.
Police said the baby-faced bandit ran off with several iPad tablet computers from Target stores in Hempfield, North Huntingdon and Monroeville. The thefts occurred Oct. 13, 14 and 15.
"I don't know whether he cuts them from security lines, or breaks through the cabinet locks, but he gets in there and grabs them and then runs out of the stores," said Trooper Steve Limani.
"He stole at least three iPads from the Hempfield store on one occasion alone," Limani said.
The bandit is described as a young white male, in his late teens or 20s, who wears a dark baseball cap turned backwards, a white shirt or sweatshirt and blue jeans. He drives away in a dark, four-door sedan.
Anyone with information is asked to telephone state police at 724-832-3288.
