WASHINGTON — A woman is in custody after the Secret Service said she crashed her van into a barrier near the White House.
The vehicle did not break through any security barrier of the White House.
Sources told NBC the Secret Service knows the woman and that she has mental health problems.
The White House was put on lockdown during the incident.
