PITTSBURGH — Primanti Brothers Restaurant, announced today the launch of a new, limited-time offer sandwich called  When Pigs Fly.

We had the opportunity to try the new sandwich at the station today before it is unleashed to the public on June 24-- and it was delicious!

If you, like all real Pittsburghers, love Primanti Brothers sandwiches, you will not be disappointed.
Fresh turkey, ham and bacon are piled high and topped with a fried egg, signature slaw, fries, cheese and tomato.
How did the sandwich get its name?

"It's hard to believe I agreed to make a new sandwich – but our customers are going to love it! Why is it called what it is?" said Toni Haggerty, General Manager at Primanti Bros in The Strip since 1974. "There are several reasons. First, it's loaded with ham and bacon; there's your pig. And it's got Turkey; they fly. However, the main reason is that for the longest time we heard from many Primanti Bros. fans (both on our social platforms and in-store) that we would add a new sandwich in our original style….WHEN PIGS FLY!"

There is an official LTO Launch Party for When Pigs Fly set for Tuesday, June 24th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the original Primanti Brothers location 46 18th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
