Season Ticket Holders Tour Consol Energy Center

None — Hundreds of Penguins season ticket holders got to tour the newly constructed Consol Energy Center on Saturday.

Many of the fans liked what they saw.

"They have a whole bunch of different games on touch screen. You could match the Penguins to their childhood pictures," said Brenden Wockley.

His father, Mark Wockley added, "Oh I think it's spectacular from what I've seen so far. We've only here for a half hour now, but the views of the ice are absolutely amazing. It's just so bright and open compared to the old arena."

Another fan said the open space is attractive, compared to Mellon Arena.

"It's more open. There, you're a little more crowded. But here it's more open. Even when you go to a vendor, they've got that big huge scoreboard so you can keep up with the game. So they've done a great job with that," said Eric Hickman.

A Paul McCartney concert will be the first event at Consol Energy Center.
