Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal made a huge mistake, passing up a Venti-sized endorsement deal.
The flub was revealed during an interview with sports reporter Graham Bensinger.
O'Neal turned down an offer from Starbucks' CEO because growing up he'd never seen a black person drink coffee.

"So my agent called me up and he says '[Starbucks CEO] Howard Schultz wants to do business with you. And I'm like 'coffee, eh,' because growing up, in my household, I'd never seen a black person drink coffee. So it was my thought process that black people didn't drink coffee," he said.
O'Neal explains that at his house it was always sweet tea and hot chocolate.
Starbucks, instead, struck the deal with Magic Johnson, who bought stakes in 105 franchises.
In 2010, Johnson sold them all back to Starbucks for $27 million.
