Shutterfly mistakenly tells thousands they're expecting; Company issues apology

PITTSBURGH — The popular photo-printing website has the Internet  a buzz Thursday after the company erroneously sent thousands of people an email Wednesday congratulating them on their “new arrival.”

The only problem, a lot of these people didn’t know they had a “new arrival.”

There's nothing more amazing than bringing a new life into the world," read the targeted email inadvertently CC'd to many who weren't even expecting. "As a new parent you're going to find more to love, more to give and more to share — we're here to help you every step of the way."

After the email was delivered, those who were shocked to hear their “news” took to Twitter.
