PITTSBURGH,None — A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Pittsburgh area until Tuesday afternoon.
Following some freezing rain that affected the morning commute, Channel 11 meteorologist Mike LaPoint said to expect cloudy skies with spotty rain showers for the rest of the day. According to LaPoint, there could still be some freezing rain north and east of Pittsburgh, but most areas will be above freezing.
Tonight, another round of rain will moves into the area, which could be heavy from time to time, with temperatures holding steady in the mid-30s, said LaPoint.
The morning commute on Tuesday was slow going as ice covered the roadways.
"Use extreme caution. Control your speed. Just watch out for the other guy too," Bob Skrak of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said on Tuesday.

Ice accumulation on untreated roads will lead to hazardous driving conditions. Accumulating ice may cause tree limbs and wires to break, making power outages possible.
Most of the region started getting freezing rain or rain on Monday evening.
