A Texas art teacher who was suspended for showing students a picture of her now-wife has reached a $100,000 settlement with her school district.

Stacy Bailey is a two-time teacher of the year award winner.

Court documents show that back in 2017, she was giving a “welcome back to school” presentation to her class and showed a photo of her and her then-fiancée, another woman.

A parent complained, saying Bailey was "promoting the homosexual agenda."

Bailey was suspended for eight months.

As part of the settlement, Bailey's suspension has been removed from her record.

Also in the agreement, the Mansfield Independent School District will offer mandatory training on LGBTQ issues to human resources and counseling staff.

The district denies any wrongdoing.

It said it agreed to the settlement to save time and put the focus back on the children.
