MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. — The attorney for a 14-year-old Pennsylvania boy charged with killing his 13-year-old friend while they played with a gun wants the case move to juvenile court.
Attorney Richard McCague says that's why the boy waived a preliminary hearing on criminal homicide and weapons charges Wednesday.%

He's charged as an adult with killing James Gustafson, another seventh-grader at Mount Pleasant Junior/Senior High School, on March 20.
The boys were at a friend's apartment when the shooting occurred. Nobody else has been charged in the shooting and authorities haven't said who owned the gun.
"I'm so sorry this happened. (It’s) such a tragedy,” the boy's mother said.
McCague said after the hearing that "everyone here this morning believes" juvenile court is the "best place" to resolve the case.
The Mount Pleasant police chief also confirmed Wednesday that more charges will be coming in relation to the gun and how the boy got a hold of it.
