RADENTHEIN, AUSTRIA — Some people build model railroads, but a 17-year-old in Austria built a scale model ski resort in his backyard, complete with moving lifts and snow guns.
The miniature resort Kevin Pobatschnig built in the backyard of his parents' house has two chair lifts, a gondola, and also a T-bar lift.
The ski slopes, skiers and all the equipment were built on a 1:32 scale.
Kevin made all the parts himself - the chairs, the lift huts and even the skiers.
He says he uses every spare minute to work on the project.
He also maintains the slopes, cleans up the buildings and invents new models.
His parents pay the electric bill, help keep up the landscaping and also give advice and technical help.
Kevin got a lot of the ideas for building the model ski slope-- where else-- on the internet.
