The yearly list of the most popular baby names has been released by the Social Security Administration.

The agency compiles the list from new social security card applications. If you named a newborn Emma or Noah in 2014, you are not alone. Those were the most commonly chosen names of the year.
Rounding out the top ten names for boys: Liam, Mason, Jacob, William, Ethan, Michael, Alexander, James and Daniel.
For girls, the top names were: Olivia, Sophia, Isabella, Ava, Mia, Emily, Abigail, Madison and Charlotte.
