Investigators were tipped off when postal inspectors noticed the drug, which is considered 10,000 times more powerful than morphine, had been sent to the home on Whitney Court Drive.

A dose of carfentanil as small as a grain of sand can be deadly, which is why the hazmat team was needed to remove it from the home.

Police confirmed that children and youth services are also involved in this case because a child was lives at tje address.

A total of 5 grams of carfentanil was found inside the home, police said.

Police had to wear hazmat suits to avoid contact with the drug, due to its potency.

Police also discovered a marijuana grow operation with 136 marijuana plants.

The amount carfentanil police found is reportedly worth a lot of money.

“When you break it down, you can get around 50,000 or so stamp bags of heroin at around $20 a bag. You’re looking at $1 million of product,” said Trooper Steve Limani.

The package was shipped from an address in Naples, Florida. Police said it was bought with bitcoin, which is a viral currency, off an underground website making it hard to track.

"It's an encrypted site. It's very difficult to track a person and bounce off different servers and links where you're so far removed from your identity. It's difficult to track you," Limani said.

The woman to whom the package was addressed hasn’t been arrested or charges yet, police said.

Police don’t believe she was the one who’d be chemically breaking down the drug.

The investigation is ongoing.
