ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A 16-year-old boy is charged with homicide for shooting and killing a man Saturday night in Aliquippa, authorities said.
Officers were called shortly after 9 p.m. to the 700 block of Griffith Street, where the man, Tremayne Foster, was found fatally shot in front of a house, police said. A woman, Melinda Henderson, was with him and had a cellphone that had been struck by a bullet.
According to a criminal complaint, Foster called 911 minutes before he was shot to report that he was trying to pick up his son at a home on Wykes Street, but he was not being allowed in.

Police interviewed Henderson, who said she had accompanied Foster to pick up his son at the home on Wykes Street. She told police that while they were outside, the 16-year-old confronted Foster, and the two got into an argument.
Henderson said that during the argument, the 16-year-old pulled out a gun and fired four shots, according to the complaint. She then heard Foster say, “He shot me,” and she ran with him down an alley.
As they were running, Henderson heard additional shots and felt a burning sensation on her left side, she told police. Her cellphone had been struck, police said.
Foster and Henderson ended up on Griffith Street, where they were found by police.
In addition to homicide, the 16-year-old is charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
