19-year-old arrested in connection with fatal Pittsburgh shooting

PITTSBURGH — A 19-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in Pittsburgh’s Northview Heights neighborhood over the summer.

Maurice White Jr. was taken into custody by the Western Pa. Fugitive Taskforce around 8 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Kelly Street in Wilkinsburg.

On Aug. 23, police responded to a ShotSpotter call in the 100 block of Penfort Street around 9:40 p.m.

Kenneth A. Wilson, 56, was found at the scene shot in the head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

White is being charged with criminal homicide, conspiracy and gun charges.
