2 women hurt when shots fired in Pittsburgh neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — Two women were hurt when shots were fired Friday night during a fight between two teens in a Pittsburgh neighborhood.

Pittsburgh police responded to a ShotSpotter alert for several shots fired on Hazlett Street shortly after 11 p.m.

Witnesses told police that a fight between the teens escalated to shots being fired and the women who were struck were bystanders.

Officers found one woman with a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other woman was hurt when a bullet grazed her elbow.

Both women were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
