PITTSBURGH — Three people were taken to a hospital after a fiery crash early Tuesday morning in Pittsburgh’s South Side, officials said.

Two cars were involved in the crash, which happened about 1 a.m. at the intersection of Sarah and East Carson streets.

A fire started after the cars collided, and heat from the flames melted part of a traffic light that was hanging above.

It’s unclear how badly the people involved in the crash were hurt.
