SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Six people were hurt in a crash involving a para-transit bus, a tractor trailer and two other vehicles in Westmoreland County.
The crash occurred around 2:45 on Route 22 in Salem Township.

“Unfortunately they were all in wheelchairs and the wheelchair lift in the van was damaged in the crash so we got them out thru back door and transported all patients to local hospitals," said Chief Bob Rosatti of Forbes Road Fire Department.
A total of 6 people were injured, but state police tell Channel 11's Melanie Marsalko that no one was killed. Three of the people who were hurt use wheelchairs.
Route 22 is back open.
