Beaver County joins rest of southwestern Pennsylvania in green phase of reopening

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — All of southwestern Pennsylvania is now in the green phase of the state’s COVID-19 reopening plan as Beaver County enters that phase Friday.

Businesses like restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, barber shops and hair salons can reopen following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

While indoor dining at restaurants can resume, it must be done at half capacity. Every other table is marked off, and servers now bring condiments to the table upon request.

The same capacity rules are in effect at hair salons like Patti’s Beauty Salon.

In addition to Beaver County, 11 other counties in other parts of Pennsylvania entered the green phase Friday.

There are now 46 Pennsylvania counties in the green phase and 21 in the yellow phase. There are no counties still in the red phase.

Health officials are still urging everyone to wear masks and keep social distancing -- even during the green phase.
