AMBRIDGE, Pa. — An Ambridge woman will spend the rest of her life in prison, with no chance for parole, after she pleaded guilty to murdering her two children.

Krisinda Bright, 49, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of first degree murder after investigators said they found both of her children shot to death in their home in February.

The day of the murders, Bright called 911 and told dispatchers in a calm manner that she had killed her children. When police arrived, they found her standing outside covered in blood. Her children, a 16-year-old who identified as a boy, and a 22-year-old woman, were found shot in the head inside.

The Beaver County District Attorney’s Office was at first seeking the death penalty, but instead opted for a plea agreement with Bright’s defense attorney.
