ASPINWALL, Pa. — A boil water advisory issued Wednesday morning for Aspinwall Borough was lifted shortly before noon on Friday.
“I was drinking some water in a restaurant that seemed fine, until I heard that,” Karissa Berard, who shops in Aspinwall, said.

The issue started overnight Tuesday, when the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority conducted maintenance on a pump in its Aspinwall plant. It caused water pressure to drop, which a PWSA spokesman said is linked to a pipe replacement project in Etna.
Aspinwall’s borough manager put the boil water advisory in place after learning of the issues just after 4 a.m. Wednesday.
“I bought a case of water for coffee and food preparation. Other than that, we're just going about our normal business,” Mike Piccardo, an Aspinwall resident, said.
