LATROBE, Pa. — A car ended up in the creek near the intersection of Route 982 and Latrobe Derry Road Monday night. The car straddled the creek, making rescue difficult.
“We had to remove the pillars, the posts from inside the vehicle instead of outside by a member who was inside so no one would have to stand in neck deep water,” said Capt. Justin Horrell with the Bradenville Fire Department.
Both men inside the car were conscious but had some head trauma.
Officials said the intersection is a trouble spot and they estimated at least one vehicle a year ends up in the creek.
