SANDUSKY, Ohio — The self-proclaimed roller coaster capital of the world is changing its mask policy when it opens for the season next month.

Cedar Point is ditching masks while you’re on a ride at the park or outdoors, unless it’s impossible to maintain six feet of social distancing.

Masks are still required while you’re indoors or if you’re 10 or older.

Temperature checks have been discontinued.

You’ll still need reservations for Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores Waterpark even if you’re a season pass holder.

There will be no limitations to ride capacity, but social distancing remains in place while waiting in line.

The park opens on May 14.
