CHALFANT, Pa. — A water main break is leaving one neighborhood without water for the fourth consecutive day.

Residents on Highland Avenue in Chalfant tell Channel 11 they’re frustrated with the lack of answers they’re getting on the project from the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority.

"It's an on-off situation. You're rolling the dice if you want to flush the toilet or take a shower at this point," Chalfant resident Diane Hillen said.

To this point, the utility has not returned calls for comment from Channel 11 either.

"It's very upsetting because you can't get through to anybody who is in charge of anything at that office. These gentlemen, they work hard, they're great guys and they're only doing what they're told," Hillen said.

A large chunk of the road remains torn up.

"We've been complaining about this for many years to the borough, to the water company, to everybody but nothing is getting done," Hillen said.
