PITTSBURGH — Construction began Monday for a new luxury condominium complex in the Strip District.
The Forte complex will include 50 residences of up to three bedroom units, all with private balconies. It will be located on Penn Avenue in the heart of the Strip District, with move-ins anticipated in Fall 2021.

Developers said half of the units have already been sold, which Mayor Bill Peduto said proves there is a demand for city living.
“The one way we can assure that we remain one of the most affordable cities in America is to assure that there is a supply to meet the demand, and that’s what we’re doing here today,” Peduto said.
