PENN HILLS, Pa. — Penn Hills parents were in court Monday on child endangerment charges after their 13-year-old son was accused of shooting and killing their other 5-year-old son.

All of the charges against Sara Gerwig and Thomas Wolfe were held for court in their preliminary hearing.

The shooting happened back in November at a home on Prescott Drive.

Channel 11′s Gabriella DeLuca tried questioning the couple as they left the courtroom. Neither had any comment.

During Monday’s hearing, a detective testified that Gerwig told all four children in the home to watch a move in the master bedroom. That detective said Wolfe kept a loaded gun on top of the safe on the nightstand in the bedroom. That was the gun investigators said their teenage son used to kill his brother.
