But this week, school officials suddenly told the group it had to be postponed.

Pittsburgh Public Schools told Channel 11 there was chatter on social media about issues between dance groups.

A spokesperson also said the school sponsor and permit holder is out because that person is the husband of a teacher hit by a brick at Pittsburgh King last month.

Despite all of that, they were able to secure a place for the competition, and there should be some happy dancers and parents this weekend.

"People (are) making false accusations on us, saying there's these threats. These kids (are) mostly middle and elementary school kids," Damage Dance Crew manager Kenisha Washington said.

"It was very, very shocking to me cause nothing ever happened at anything we ever participated in," team secretary Ashley Butler said.
