Dozens of cats, kittens, and domesticated rats rescued from Allegheny County home

PITCAIRN, PA. — Officers from the Humane Society rescued dozens of cats, kittens and domesticated rats from a home in Allegheny County Thursday.

In total, 17 cats and kittens, and 31 rats, some of which were just days old) were removed from unsanitary conditions at a home in Pitcairn.

According to a post on Facebook, Animal Friends has taken them in and is giving them medical attention.

They’re asking for donations to help rehabilitate and treat the rescued animals. You can donate to the organization through Facebook.
