PITTSBURGH — It’s an inspiring story of perseverance: Dylan Braun was in a car accident in 2019 that left him with a traumatic brain injury and several other serious complications.

Even though his prognosis didn’t look good, he was able to regain his strength and go back to school at Duquesne University.

Friday, Dylan graduated with his master’s degree and got his diploma.

Duquesne’s president honored Dylan with a medal for his recovery and studies.

“There were times, especially when you lay in the hospital bed and you think, ‘I’m never going to make it.’ Well, I made it, and it’s possible,” he said.

He said he plans to take his boards soon and hopes to get a job as a physician’s assistant.
