EF1 tornado touched down in Butler, Armstrong counties Sunday

PARKER, Pa. — An EF1 tornado touched down Sunday in Butler and Armstrong counties, the National Weather Service confirmed Monday.

The tornado, which had winds up to 105 mph, hit near and in Parker.

The NWS said further information would be made available later Monday afternoon.

Trees were brought down and homes were damaged, but no one was hurt.

Officials with the NWS confirmed the tornado while conducting a storm damage survey Monday.
