PLEASANT HILLS, Pa. — Firefighters were called to a restaurant in Allegheny County Friday morning.
The fire started at Pleasant Bar on Old Clairton Road in Pleasant Hills just after 4 a.m. and it quickly spread to three-alarms.

A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page said the business was going to start offering breakfast again starting Friday.
When firefighters got there, thick smoke was pouring out of the building. Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to nearby businesses.
The restaurant was supposed to be open at 7 a.m. for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
It’s been a staple in the community since 1938 and a new owner took it over and recently renovated it.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby businesses. Other than the smell of smoke, Virgin Carpets and Flooring and AR Workshop didn’t experience any damage.
There’s significant fire, smoke and water damage to Pleasant Bar.
Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen area. No one was inside when the fire started, fire officials said.
