Former coach accused of sending explicit messages heading to trial

BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. — A former South Fayette and California University football coach accused of sending sexually explicit Snapchat messages to teenage boys waived his preliminary hearing.

Patrick Onesko, 27, was silent as he left the district magistrate’s office Monday. His attorney told Channel 11 that the case is weighing on his client.

“Certainly, he’s troubled by it,” said attorney Stephen Misko. “No one wants to be under the scrutiny of these types of charges.”

Investigators said Onesko sent the messages to teenagers he had either coached or scouted.

He faces charges of unlawful contact with a minor, criminal solicitation and corruption of minors.
