FOX CHAPEL, Pa. — Police in Fox Chapel and O’Hara are investigating a string of home burglaries where jewelry, guns and cash were stolen.
Fox Chapel police told our partners at TribLive.com that the burglaries in that community all happened on the same night, Jan. 29, along Fairview Road. The suspects were seen in surveillance camera video wearing masks and gloves. Investigators are looking for a maroon van with out-of-state license plates and said it is likely the suspects have switched vehicles.
Officers said the suspects burglarized homes that were empty at the time. Each home had an alarm system but the burglars entered the home at points that did not trip the system.
O’Hara police officials said they are investigating two burglaries there.
The Allegheny County Police are also aiding the investigation.
