DUNBAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Flames destroyed a duplex as wood was being burned Friday morning in Fayette County, officials said.
The fire was reported shortly before 5 a.m. on University Drive in Dunbar Township.

Fire officials said a person who lived in the duplex was burning the wood amid windy conditions, which helped the flames spread through the duplex and a garage.
“The wind was a problem for us this morning. It was just helping feed the fire is what it was doing,” Fire Chief Doug Grimm said.
Grimm said it took crews longer than usual to get to the scene because of snowy roads.
No one was hurt.
