PITTSBURGH — Planning is underway for the Pittsburgh Irish Festival to be held in person in September, organizers announced Tuesday.

Last year, the festival was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s three-day outdoor festival is scheduled for Sept. 10-12 at The Lots of Sandcastle.

Health and safety guidelines will be in place. Tentatively, those guidelines include reduced capacity, enhanced cleaning, mask wearing and social distancing. Organizers said changes will be made as needed.

An entertainment lineup is in the works, and the festival is exploring options for virtual offerings for people who are not yet comfortable attending an in-person event.

Discounted advanced tickets for the 2021 Pittsburgh Irish Festival are available HERE. Organizers said full refunds will be provided in the event of cancellation due to the pandemic.
