WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Kennywood is back for its 119th season, opening its gates on Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m. for season pass holders.

The amusement park opens fully to the public on May 6, with daily operations beginning on May 25.
One big addition to Kennywood this season is the Sky Rocket roller coaster implementing virtual reality.

According to a press release, the new VR experience is “expected” to be available to guests at some point in May.

The park also will broadcast a new show in its 4-D Theater this year: The LEGO Movie 4-D Experience.
Kennywood also brings a few changes to its food and beverage options, including the addition of pretzel purveyor Auntie Anne's.
