Sally Yates, former acting U.S. attorney general, testified Monday before a Senate Judiciary Committee subcommittee in a public hearing.
Yates was fired by the Trump administration on Jan. 31 after she refused to order the Justice Department to defend in court the president’s ban on travel from seven predominately Muslim nations.
