Local community taking stand against vaping epidemic with new ban proposal

IRWIN, Pa. — The vaping epidemic is showing no signs of slowing down.

The CDC is reporting nearly 1,300 vaping-related lung injuries, and 26 of those cases have been deadly – including one in Pennsylvania.

Watch the video above for the drastic measures being proposed by legislators in Irwin.

Now, one community in Westmoreland County is taking a stand. Irwin Boro Council asked its solicitor to draft an ordinance that would prohibit electronic cigarettes and vaping from inside all parks within borough limits.
