IMPERIAL, Pa. — A local pediatric nurse is facing child porn charges after he allegedly admitted to investigators that he viewed child porn for “sexual gratification.”

State police were doing an undercover investigation when they flagged Kenneth Ricker's computer and made the disturbing discovery.

It's a visit from police that Heather McCormack never thought she'd get. She and her four children live next door to Ricker.

"I’m shocked because he was a pediatric nurse and I’m also nervous that my four children who live in this house and literally share a wall with this man," McCormack said.

TRENDING NOW:

Channel 11 contacted Ricker's former employer, Pediatric Services of America, which sent us a statement saying:

"The health and safety of our patients is our highest priority. We take this matter very seriously and are fully committed to cooperating with the authorities to assist their investigation. The individual in question has been terminated."

McCormack said she remembers when Ricker told her about his job.

"When he mentioned what he did for a job, in the course of small talk, I said, 'Well that’s great. We are at the doctor all the time.' His response was, 'Yeah, you can call me whenever,'" McCormack said.

She's not only worried about her own family, but also about his former patients.

"The way he described his job, he was basically staying with children who needed ventilators and around-the-clock nursing in their own homes," McCormack said.

We contacted state police and asked him if Ricker is facing any additional charges or if there are any potential victims. We have not heard back.
