PITTSBURGH — Have you got the Downtown Pittsburgh Edge? Support local businesses while you revisit some of your favorite places – or even be introduced to something completely new – while receiving special offers, discounts, deals, and more.

The city of Pittsburgh says this new partnership will help bring business back. People want to be back out, they want something to do and businesses say they’re ready to welcome them.

The city is trying to boost business with the “Edge card.” It includes offers, discounts and promotions from over 40 downtown businesses.

People are excited to see what perks the cards offer and if they bring more foot traffic and spending to the steel city.

On Liberty Avenue, Pizza Parma is slamming slices together for the Friday night dinner rush.

General Manager Chris Brown says the Edge cards will help drive traffic to them and other locally owned businesses. With food prices rising a year and a half into a pandemic, they say small businesses need the support.

“To be able to give back to the public in that sense is great as well as to have them be able to help support local businesses,” Brown explained.

Cards are available for returning workers and city residents.

For now, Downtown Pittsburgh Edge cards will be available from select Downtown employers and at pop-up events hosted by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

Coming soon, you’ll be able to pick up your Edge card at participating retailers around the neighborhood!
