MOON, Pa. — We’ve learned that Lou Vignone, the postal worker who was shot and killed yesterday in Collier Township, was an avid bowler.

“We are all a family there, and to have one of our own to lose is just heartbreaking,” Kirstie Loughery told Channel 11.

Loughery and her husband played in the same bowling league as Lou.

“I didn’t give it a second thought because he lived in Moon, and I didn’t realize he delivered in Collier,” she said.

When she heard about Thursday’s shooting, she has no idea it was one of her and her husband’s lifelong friends.

Lou was delivering mail on his usual route, when police say Eric Kortz found him and shot him multiple times.

Kirstie says she has Lou’s family on her mind.

“Pray for his family. I can’t imagine what they’re going through right now to lose him in such a terrible way.”
