Man claims he was stuck by needle when he went to pump gas

RACCOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A truck driver describes the scary situation that he says landed him in the hospital Wednesday night after pumping gas in Beaver County.

"When I grabbed the nozzle itself, I felt a pinch."

That pinch came from what he described as a homemade needle that resembled a pen.

"It was made of glass and there was like a needle that was like hot glue gunned on," he said.

The driver doesn't want to be identified because of the company he works for, but says he's had two tetanus shots, been prescribed three different types of medication and undergone a battery of tests.

Police confirmed for Channel 11 that they are investigating, but would not share any more information. The gas station owner referred us to his attorney and said there's no proof the incident happened as described.

As for others, several people were wearing gloves at the gas station while pumping their gas as a precaution.
