Man arrested in deadly shooting in Wilmerding

WILMERDING, Pa. — A man has been arrested after a deadly shooting in Wilmerding Thursday morning, according to Allegheny police.

Police said Jason Grubb, 47, of North Versailles was responsible for the shooting.

It happened in the 700 block of Middle Avenue around 10:23 a.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they said they found a 47-year-old man who was shot.

He was then taken to a hospital where he died.

Police said they found Grubbs at a family member’s home in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood around 1:30 p.m.

Grubbs will be taken to the Allegheny County Jail and arraigned on charges of criminal homicide, recklessly endangering another person and carrying a firearm without a license.

Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating.
