Homicide investigators looking into death of man found in backyard of Pittsburgh home

PITTSBURGH — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the backyard of a home in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

The man was pronounced dead after officers were called about 12:30 a.m. to McDowell Street. On Wednesday afternoon, police stated that the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Detectives processed evidence at the scene.

The cause and manner of the man’s death will be determined by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
