Man found shot in car after crashing in front of police station

MCKEES ROCKS, pa. — A man was found shot inside a car late Tuesday night after crashing in front of the McKees Rocks police station.

Around 11:30 p.m., a Ford Taurus crashed into a pole outside the police station on Bell Avenue. Investigators found a 23-year-old man who had been shot in the chest inside the crashed car.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators said the man was shot at the intersection of Mary Street while driving along Island Avenue toward Chartiers Avenue.

Police are still investigating.
