Man found stabbed to death in Clairton home, roommate arrested

CLAIRTON, Pa. — A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death in a home in Clairton.

Thursday afternoon, County 911 was notified of a reported stabbing at a home in the 400 block of Mendelssohn Avenue. Anthony Koontz, 55, had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police determined the victim’s car was stolen by Sabr Cree Ellis, who lived with the victim.

Ellis, and the car, were found in Rochester, New York, according to Allegheny County Police. He’s charged with criminal homicide.
