Man hospitalized after rollover crash that closed Pittsburgh’s West End Circle, West End Bridge

PITTSBURGH — A man was taken to a hospital after a rollover crash that shut down the West End Circle and the West End Bridge in Pittsburgh early Friday morning.

The crash happened shortly before 2 a.m.

Police said the car was heading inbound on West Carson Street onto the on ramp to the West End Circle. After navigating the ramp, the car crashed into a barrier and rolled over.

The car was badly damaged.

The driver was able to get out of the car on his own, but he lost consciousness while talking to first responders, police said. He was then taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
